It's not surprising that a firm headquartered in Minneapolis would have at least one manager who is a Midwesterner right down to his Sorrel boots. Doug Eiden attended Minnesota elementary and high schools, Minnesota colleges, even Minnesota graduate schools. Doug is a Minnesotan, through and through. He's adept at taking things apart and putting them back together just to see how they work. He values straight talk and has deep-rooted convictions. He volunteers energetically and often, including mentoring in the University of St. Thomas M.B.A. program. Outside of work, he is busy with three kids – which means sledding, skating and coaching, of course. But his favorite hobby? "Reading annual reports and investment books," he says, "I really do enjoy figuring out what makes a company tick." It's all that reading which enables Doug to keep his competitive edge.
Previous experience: senior financial analyst, Norwest Bank Minnesota. Education: CFA Institute (CFA), University of St. Thomas (M.B.A.), Minnesota State University (B.S.).
