James W. Rockwell

James W. Rockwell

Financial Principal

Jim Rockwell has won Wimbledon several times. In Jim's case, center court was near his high school sweetheart (now wife) Helen's home – the wooden backboard at The Blake School where Jim taught himself to play. Later, center court was at St. Thomas College where he continued his tennis career. "They didn't cut anyone," Jim says, "so they ended up with 12 players. I was the 12th." Jim attributes his success as an estate planning lawyer and now principal at Lowry Hill to the patience and persistence he learned on the courts. Still a tennis lover, but with that beloved Jack Kramer wooden racquet now retired, Jim's center court now includes not only Helen and his four adult children, but his grandchildren as well. "Family is my focus", he says. And a very satisfying one, indeed.

Previous experience: shareholder, Popham Haik Schnobrich & Kaufman, Ltd.; partner, Robins Kaplan Miller & Ciresi; adjunct professor, William Mitchell College of Law and the University of St. Thomas Law School; fellow, American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
