Kathleen L. Kuehl

Kathleen L. Kuehl

Financial Principal

The daughter of teachers from Adams, Minnesota (population 700), Kathleen Kuehl's low-key demeanor conceals a life of accomplishment. Yet another of Lowry Hill's high school team captains (volleyball and basketball) and an estate planning lawyer with experience at three of the Midwest's most respected firms, Kathy has overachieved in other areas as well. She is a board member and chair of the Public Policy Committee for Cornerstone, an organization working to prevent domestic abuse, as well as a runner, biker, and devoted mother of two children. Busy though she is, it's not surprising that she manages to squeeze just one more avocation into her day: "Yoga and meditation," she says. "And thank heavens they both work!"

Previous experience: plan design and agreements manager, Bank Compensation Strategies; associate, Estate Planning Group, Leonard Street & Deinard; associate, Estate Planning Group, Parsinen Kaplan Levy Rosberg & Gotlieb; associate, Estate Planning Group, Robins Kaplan Miller & Ciresi. Education: University of Minnesota (J.D.), Winona State University (B.S.). Awards: recipient of the 2008 Finance and Commerce "Top Women in Finance" award. Editorial contributions: Worth, Dow Jones, Kiplinger's, Stratos, Pittsburg Post-Gazette, co-author of Financial Planning: The View From Lowry Hill. Professional and community organizations: member, Hennepin County Bar Association; member, Minnesota State Bar Association; member, Minnesota Women Lawyers; board member and chair, Public Policy Committee, Cornerstone.
